2015 Graphic Design concentration alumnus Elijah Stewart was named a Semi-Finalist in the 2015 Adobe Achievement Awards. His poster for the play Light—created in Assistant Professor Ivanete Blanco‘s Poster Design course—was selected for the Print Communications category.
Work by Graphic Design alumnus Rob Wolford (’14) was selected for and presented in Communication Arts magazine’s “Typography Annual 5.” The booklet, “Paved with Good Intentions,” was produced in Assistant Professor of Graphic Design David Shields‘ Typographic Design class, and is based on the text of the 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Wolford now works at Agency Creative in Dallas, Texas.
Art Education alumnus Brandon Burdick (’07) has been named Teacher of the Year for the Portsmouth public school system. Previously, Brandon was selected for the same honor at Douglass Park Elementary School, where he teaches. Congratulations to Brandon on his additional achievement!
