Annual Juried Student Show and Scholarship Competition

Drop off dates for submitting work to the Annual Juried Student Show and Scholarship Competition are March 19–20 from 11:00am–5:00pm in the Gordon Art Galleries on Monarch Way. Student may submit up to 5 works and should indicate if they are to be considered for the juried show, scholarship, or both. Scholarships will be determined by faculty on Friday March 21, 11:00–4:00. Students intending to submit work for the Robert McCullough Graphic Design Prize should contact either Ivanete Blanco or Kenneth FitzGerald for further information.

Students (individually and collaboratively) may also submit proposals to create an artwork/installation in the gallery display window. For more information and to download an application form, click here.

Leigh Anne Chambers, Executive Director of Rawls Museum Arts, will serve as juror for the Student Show on Saturday, March 22. Selections will be posted here on the ODU Art blog that night. All work must be collected from the Galleries Sunday–Tuesday March 23–25, with selected work returned for installation (mounted, framed, etc.) by 5:00pm on Tuesday March 25.

Opening reception for the Student Show is Friday, March 28, 7:00–9:00pm, with Scholarships winners announced at 7:30. The Show concludes on April 20. Work may be claimed April 22–23 at the Galleries.
