Rachel Froncillo will present her Senior Show exhibition Salt of the Earth at Symphonic Church, 1229 W Olney Road Norfolk, April 4–April 10, with an opening reception April 4, 7:00–9:00 p.m. Regular gallery hours are 11:00 a.m. –3:00 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Works include four large oil paintings and photographs representing the beauty and culture of Kenya. The work will be for sale with all proceeds going to Neema Children’s Home in North Kinangop, Kenya for a water-well that would provide fresh, clean water on their campus. Currently there are 150 orphaned by AIDS living at the home and provided with food and education. They currently have four small water collecting structures that provide water three to four months out of the year. However, during the dry season there is very little water for cooking, cleaning and drinking. The well would provide a better life for the orphans, and the proceeds from the show are just one step towards that goal.
