ODU Art Education 305 Students proudly present Children’s Art Exhibitions:

Celebrating Youth Art & National Library Week at the South Rosemont Youth Library in Virginia Beach with a reception on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:0 0P.M. ODU Art Education pre-service teachers highlight works created throughout the semester during a very special partnership-in-education with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia with support from the Friends of the Virginia Beach Library. The exhibit includes many paintings that will be on permanent display at the library. These works were created by local children during Youth Art Month as part of the ARTS 305 coursework; a service learning project within the community. This project was led by ARTS 305 Students from the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center under the direction of Patty Edwards, Art Lecturer

ODU Art Education Students & ForKids Exhibition
My Home is My Castle, a children’s art exhibition highlighting works created throughout the semester during a service-learning project. Children’s Art Classes were taught by ODU pre-service teachers and art was created by visiting students from the Norfolk based ForKids program. The exhibition will be held at The Baron & Ellin Gordon Art Galleries, 4509 Monarch Way, Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday, April 19, 2008 with an opening reception from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M.

These events are free and open to the public.
